The beginning

Our Story

How did you two meet?

Our story started in a way neither of us really expected.

Nicholas was looking for someone to help with some of his work and social media. His assistant had put out an advert and they had already chosen someone because they were running out of time.

Then his assistant came back and said someone had applied late, after applications had closed, but she thought the applicant was very good and Nicholas should have a look.

That applicant was Stacey.

Nicholas was living in the UK and Stacey was in Uganda.

As they started working together, Nicholas asked Stacey about her faith and which church she attended. She told him she attended Christ Embassy Nyanama on Entebbe Road.

Nicholas was surprised and excited because that was the last Christ Embassy church he had attended while in Uganda.

From there, they had plenty to talk about.

As time went on, Stacey became a great support to Nicholas and his work. They started talking more outside work and would spend Saturdays praying for the business and studying the Bible together.

Sometimes those conversations and prayers would go on for hours.

Their friendship continued to grow.

Eventually, Nicholas told Stacey that he loved her and wanted to know whether they could take their relationship further.

Stacey told him that she loved him too.

They spoke to their pastors and continued their journey together.

After spending so much time talking, praying and getting to know each other from a distance, Nicholas and Stacey are now ready to begin the next chapter of their lives together.

And now, here we are, getting married.

“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”Mark 10:9
